Today Kayln would be 24. Looking at her photos makes me feel a little closer to her, but also brings the familiar ache of longing to see her again. How wonderful it would be to hear her laugh, to see her smile. Knowing she is in heaven brings a sense of peace, but I will always wish we had been given more time together. I never could have imagined we would only have 20 years. All I can do now is to focus on the time we did have. As we honor my daughter on her birthday today, we can hold tight to the memories and the joy she brought to our lives.
